Forgotten Spaces, a competition set up by the Royal Institute of British Architects, has opened a showcase of entries at Somerset House.

Jardine Couture Retail Interiors worked alongside London agency, Campaign, to implement the exhibition which highlights a broad range of regeneration proposals by designers & architects.

The show itself is housed in one of London’s forgotten spaces - the lightwells and deadspace at the back of Somerset House; a dramatic series of spaces, where the work is beatifully lit by a specialist lighting system, provided by XAL lighting.

Velorution, London

Thursday, September 1st, 2011

Premium bicycle purveyors, Velorution, relocated this month to a new larger retail space on Great Portland Street.

Jardine Couture Retail Interiors were brought in to project manage and help implement the overhaul from tired office space, to eye-catching retail space.

Working with product designer Henny van Nistelrooy of Studio HNV, the new interior provides a bright, spacious showcase of bikes and accessories.

Custom-designed for the store, Studio HNV’s beautiful and flexible modular shelving system proved such a success, it is now available as an off-the-shelf product. The ‘Revolver’ system is part of a range of furniture manufactured through Jardine Couture for Velorution, including bespoke point of sale and storage units and sales counters.

Tuesday, August 2nd, 2011

A new interior fit-out, installed by Jardine Couture at RNLI’s flagship Poole HQ.
An all-encompassing scheme, led by Lewis Mitchell of Pope Wainwright, featuring a striking new reception, effective retail space and engaging history timeline walls.

The new scheme stands as a beacon for the RNLI’s forward-thinking aspirations, whilst at the same time relecting it’s commendable past.

European installations

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

2009 has been a busy year for Jardine Couture Retail Interiors, primarily engaged in a roll-out of office HQ interiors and retail installations for one client.
Our small team of specialists have been eating, sleeping and installing their way around Europe for the most part of 2009 and now look forward to the projects 2010 has to bring.

Due to client confidentially we unfortunately cannot publish images of the completed interiors. (But let it be said that the quality and finish each project is up to our usual standard!)

Jean Prouve - Design Museum

Sunday, April 20th, 2008

‘’…one should not sketch out utopian projects, because evolution can only result from practical experience.'’ Jean Prouve - Designer, craftsman, manufacturer, architect, teacher, engineer.

As a company fascinated by detail and craftsmanship, Jardine Couture took great interest in the recent Jean Prouve exhibition at the Design Muesum London. Working through furniture, architecture and construction details, Prouve’s work was often beautifully designed and always concieved by honest, modern techniques. The integrity of his work throughout the 1930’s, 40’s and 50’s inspired such current icons as Foster, Rogers and Renzo Piano and still today looks cutting-edge.

Below are some images from the exhibition, showing a definite common language running through all of his work.
